联合国驻华协调员常启德先生访问八邑会馆 The United Nations Resident Coordinator in China Mr. Siddharth Chatterjee Visit
9月17日，联合国驻华协调员常启德先生（Siddharth Chatterjee）在公务访问新加坡期间，经国际潮团总会引荐，首次专程到访新加坡潮州八邑会馆。本会前会长曾建權、副会长洪静源、总务黄朝群及副交际杨耀平热情接待。
常启德先生高度赞赏本会在文化传承、商贸合作及社区服务等方面所作出的努力与取得的成就。同时他表示，新加坡的城市风貌与多元文化给他留下了深刻印象，坦言“非常喜欢新加坡”。
常启德先生也分享了自己坚持规律运动与均衡饮食的生活理念，强调这些良好习惯对保持高效工作状态和积极生活态度的重要意义。
On September 17, introduced by the Teochew International Federation, the United Nations Resident Coordinator in China Mr. Siddharth Chatterjee, made his first visit to Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan during his official visit to Singapore. He was warmly received by Immediate Past President Mr. Chan Kian Kuan, Vice President Mr. Ang Chee Guan, Honorary Secretary Mr. Jacob Huang Zhao Qun, and Deputy Public Relations Secretary Mr. Patrick Yeo Yew Peng.
Mr. Chatterjee highly commended the Huay Kuan’s contributions and achievements in cultural heritage, business cooperation, and community service. He also expressed his deep appreciation for Singapore’s vibrant cityscape and multicultural environment, remarking that he “truly enjoys Singapore.”
In addition, Mr. Chatterjee shared his personal philosophy of maintaining regular exercise and a balanced diet, emphasizing the importance of such healthy habits in sustaining productivity and a positive outlook on life.
