潮汕著名英歌舞莅新表演 YINGGE DANCE PERFORMANCE

英歌舞，是流行于潮汕地区一种柔和南派武术、戏剧等地方艺术为一体的民间广场舞蹈，具有独特的步法、身法、槌法、阵法。既似土风，又似武舞。它以刚劲、雄浑、粗犷、奔放的舞姿，构成了磅礴、威武、强壮、豪迈的气势，给人以力与美的震撼。

The Platform of Cooperation for Teochew Associations, will lead seven Yingge dance performers in a performance at the China Cultural Centre on Tuesday, June 18, at 2:00 PM. Public are welcome to attend and watch the performance.

The Yingge dance, or “dance to the hero’s song,” is a form of folk dance popular in China Chaoshan Provinces that merges opera, dance, and martial arts. Dating back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), this traditional dance is often performed during traditional Chinese festivals.
