潮州市市长蔡淡群率团莅临潮州八邑会馆拜访交流
6月27日，潮州市市长蔡淡群率潮州市经贸代表团莅临新加坡潮州八邑会馆拜访交流。本会会长拿督斯里吴木興博士BBM(L)、前会长曾建权PBM、副会长蔡华春BBM、总务黄朝群、副交际林本煜、文教组副主任陈丹轲、董事杨秀辉以及新加坡蒲仙同乡联合会名誉会长郑仙禹等同仁热情接待。此次亦是蔡淡群市长上任半年以来首次到访新加坡，意义深远。
蔡淡群市长表示，潮州、汕头、揭阳三地文化习俗相通，随后详细介绍潮州产业发展与城市建设取得的成效，诚挚邀约海外乡亲回乡兴业、返乡寻根，同时预祝本会2027年第二十四届国际潮团联谊年会顺利举办。吴木興会长对代表团远道来访表示热烈欢迎，感谢潮州政府对海外潮社的关心支持，并表示将借鉴祖籍地办会经验，全力办好新一届国际潮团盛会。
座谈期间，双方深入洽谈经贸合作机遇，交换了两地资源对接、产业合作的思路与构想。本次访问进一步夯实新潮两地情谊与合作基础，搭建起政企高效对接平台。未来本会将持续发挥桥梁纽带作用，深化两地经贸、文化双向交流互通，携手共创共赢新局面。
On 27th June, Mayor Cai Danqun led a Chaozhou economic and trade delegation on a visit to Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan. The delegation was warmly received by President Dato’ Seri Dr Derek Goh BBM(L), together with the Huay Kuan leadership and community representatives. The visit marked Mayor Cai’s first official visit to Singapore since assuming office six months ago.
During the meeting, Mayor Cai highlighted the shared cultural heritage and customs of Chaozhou, Shantou and Jieyang, introduced Chaozhou’s latest achievements in industrial development and urban development, invited overseas Teochews to return for investment and cultural visits, and extended his best wishes for the successful hosting of the 24th Teochew International Convention in 2027.President Derek Goh welcomed the delegation and thanked the Chaozhou Municipal Government for its continued support of overseas Teochew communities. He reaffirmed the Huay Kuan’s commitment to delivering a successful Teochew International Convention. Both sides also exchanged views on trade, industry, resource connectivity and cultural cooperation, further strengthening ties between Singapore and Chaozhou while laying a solid foundation for future collaboration.
