揭阳市政府代表团访问 Jieyang Municipal Government Visit

2025年7月12日（星期六）下午5时，揭阳市政府代表团一行6人到访潮州八邑会馆。八邑会馆会长吴木興会长等人亲切接待。揭阳市委常委姚丽璇女士对八邑会馆长期以来情系祖籍地建设、积极推动中新两地经贸与文化交流合作所作出的贡献给予了高度肯定，并向在场嘉宾详细介绍了揭阳市当前经济社会发展的总体情况以及“潮侨坊”项目的规划构想。

座谈中，揭阳市归国华侨联合会主席张汉平先生进一步介绍了“潮侨坊”的功能定位与建设进展。他指出，该项目将打造一个集展示、交流、传承于一体的侨乡文化平台，其中一座侨团大楼将在设计中融入新加坡登路97号潮州大厦的经典建筑元素，采用青瓦粉墙、重檐翘角的传统方形楼阁风格，以此致敬海外潮人对家乡发展的深情厚谊。

此次来访，不仅加深了彼此的了解，也为未来在文化、经贸、侨务等领域的交流合作奠定了坚实基础。

On 12 July, 2025, a six-member delegation from the Jieyang Municipal Government visited Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan. President Dato Sri Dr. Derek Goh Bak Heng, BBM(L) and members warmly welcomed the guests.

Ms. Yao Lixuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Jieyang CPC Committee and Minister of the United Front Work Department, highly commended Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan for its long-standing dedication to supporting the development of its ancestral hometown, as well as its active efforts in promoting economic and cultural exchanges between Singapore and China. She also gave attendees a detailed overview of Jieyang’s current economic and social development, along with the planning and vision for the “Chao Qiao Fang” project.

Mr. Zhang Hanping, Chairman of the Jieyang Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, shared that one of the buildings will feature design elements inspired by Singapore’s Teochew Building at 97 Tank Road — reflecting traditional Teochew architecture as a tribute to overseas Teochews’ enduring affection for their roots.

The visit strengthened mutual understanding and laid a solid foundation for future collaboration in cultural, economic, and overseas Chinese affairs.
