汕头市委宣传部常务副部长李逸夫率团到访 Executive Deputy Director of the Shantou Municipal Publicity Department Mr. Li Yifu Visit
9月28日下午，汕头市委宣传部常务副部长李逸夫率团一行8人访问本会，受到吴木興会长、黄朝群总务、陈坤成副总务、陈丽卿文教主任及杨耀平副交际等同仁的热情接待。
吴木興会长对汕头市政府长期以来在推动潮汕文化传播方面所做的努力表示衷心感谢。他指出，此次汕头市与新华社联合策划的“三江出海·一纸还乡”侨批历史文化展，于9月29日于天猛公隆重开幕，为海外潮裔子弟再次搭建了一个认识根源、追溯文脉的宝贵平台。
李逸夫常务副部长对本会在祖籍地发展和公益事业方面所做出的贡献表示感谢，并强调潮州八邑会馆不仅是新加坡潮州人的家，也是天下潮州人共同的家园。他特别感谢去年吴木興会长率团参加汕头“两大盛会”，并提及2027年国际潮团联谊年会将于新加坡举办，表示如需汕头市协助，市委宣传部、侨办、市委办及外事局将积极支持、贡献力量。
On September 28, Mr. Li Yifu, Executive Deputy Director of the Shantou Municipal Publicity Department, led an eight-member delegation to visit Our Huay Kuan. They were warmly welcomed by President Dato’ Sri Dr. Derek Goh Bak Heng, Honorary Secretary Jacob Huang Zhao Qun and fellow committee members.
President Dr. Derek Goh Bak Heng expressed appreciation to the Shantou government for its efforts in promoting Teochew culture, highlighting the “Letters from the Sea: The Story of Qiaopi” exhibition, which opened on September 29 in Temenggong Artists-In-Residence, as a meaningful platform for overseas Teochews to reconnect with their roots.
Mr. Li Yifu commended the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan’s contributions to its ancestral homeland and local community, emphasizing that the Teochew Eight Districts Association is a home for Teochews worldwide. He also pledged Shantou’s full support for the 24th International Teochew Convention to be held in Singapore in 2027.
