8月25日，由新加坡潮州八邑会馆潮女组主办的潮州姐妹联谊之夜在牛车水饮茶餐厅圆满举行，近80位潮州姐妹齐聚现场、共叙乡情。本次活动特别邀请到榜鹅集选区国会议员、全国职工总会助理秘书长杨涴凌，白沙一樟宜集选区(樟宜分部)国会议员李乃怡，为活动增色赋能。
杨涴凌小姐现场发表精彩分享，她结合祖母的人生经历与潮州传统家风，诠释新时代潮州女性的精神力量，传递慎言行善的处世智慧，肯定潮籍女性坚韧务实、刚毅果敢的可贵品质。座谈环节，邀请了会员代表李乃怡、Ally Ng 、纪晓琳及张熹冕分享家族故事，回忆母亲与阿嬷那一辈的岁月，探讨跨世代女性如何迎难而上，延续潮人独有的坚韧与智慧。大家一同思索留给后代的传承：潮州美食、潮州话、守望相助的 “家己人” 精神，还有潮人骨子里那份坚毅，优雅从容的气质早已融入血脉。活动现场还设有友谊手环制作、潮州文化趣味问答等环节，拉近姐妹情谊。
本次联谊活动凝聚了潮籍女性情谊与力量，传承弘扬了潮人精神底蕴，激励广大潮州女性立足新时代、坚守初心、聚力前行、向阳成长。
On 25th August, the Ladies’ Committee of the Teochew Poit Ip Huay Kuan (Singapore) hosted the Ladies Social Night at Yum Cha Restaurant in Chinatown. Nearly 80 Teochew women gathered to reconnect and celebrate their shared heritage. Ms Yeo Wan Ling, Member of Parliament for Punggol GRC and Assistant Secretary-General of the National Trades Union Congress, , and Ms Valerie Lee, Member of Parliament for Pasir Ris–Changi GRC, were invited to join the event.
Ms Yeo shared stories of her grandmother and Teochew family traditions. She highlighted the strength and resilience of Teochew women. The fireside chat featured Ms Valerie Lee, Ally Ng, Lynn Kee and Arebelle Zhang, who shared stories of their mothers, grandmothers and family histories, exploring how women across generations have carried forward the Teochew spirit of resilience and resourcefulness. The discussion also reflected on what we hope to pass on to the next generation — Teochew cuisine, Teochew dialect, the “Ka-Ki Nang” spirit of mutual support, and the strength and grace rooted in our heritage. The evening also featured friendship bracelet making, Teochew cultural quizzes and sharing sessions by outstanding Teochew women. Together with authentic Teochew cuisine, the event created a warm and lively atmosphere, strengthening bonds among Teochew women and celebrating their shared heritage and values.
